What better way to celebrate your anniversary then to document your love through pictures, right?!
And how refreshing it was to have the GUY be the one instigating the shoot!!

They have since found out they are expecting their first child - yey!!
Perhaps a maternity shoot is in order?

Lesson learned - I need to learn to use the light instead of hiding from it in the shade or late evening.  I love Leeyen's work with that amazing sun flare.  I need to work on that.

These little munchkins were so full of life!

I feel like this shoot was more me documenting them, as opposed to posing and photographing them.

I kinda liked it.

Lesson learned - Mini marshmellows do NOT work on all children.  Who would have known?!!

NOTE

I've noticed that the last few sets of pictures aren't very clear.
Not sure why this is.
Could be the new way I'm uploading them that's messing with the clarity.
Makes me sad coz it doesn't do the pictures justice.

Ok, so I have alot of siblings.

Here's another one.

My sister, her little girls and her husband.

The first time I've done a shoot with a baby this young.

It was a learning experience.

One I'm grateful for.

Plus she's cute.

Lesson learned - Babies can be the easiest and hardest people to work with.  This time I felt like I needed to plan less and let nature take its course - let the baby be ready when she was ready, move myself to align with her and not the other way round.

Lesson Learned - Children's attention spans is so small, you gotta get in quick before they've totally lost interest and are more interested in pick up duck poo.  Fathers too have short attention spans.  Which again requires more planning from me before hand.

Gotta love 'em.

It was my first shoot in about 9 months and I was a little rustier then usual.

She was so cute, he was so uncomfortable, we had alot of laughs.

Thanks guys.  

The practice was sorely needed.

Lesson learned - planning out shoots is important.  I need to go there before hand and take a walk around and figure out where I'd like to shoot, coz sometimes on the spot I get a bit excited and totally overlook things like where the best light is etc. An extra 10 minutes is all it takes.
